The Leece Museum opens a new exhibition on 14 January 2016 which celebrates the life of Sophia Morrison who was born in Peel and died 100 years ago. Sophia had a significant influence on Isle of Man culture through her involvement in promoting Manx literature, language music, and cookery. The Museum has some unique exhibits including personal belongings. Access to the exhibition can be obtain Tuesday to Saturday each week via the Castle Street rear entrance to the Museum or by calling at the Ward Library which has a bookcase donated to the library by the Morrison family.
