I was brought up in Peel and attended Peel Clothworkers School and Douglas High School for Girls.

I was elected to the Peel Town Commissioners in April 2000, and returned unopposed in April 2003. I have served on each of the committees, Works, Housing, Recreation and Entertainment, and Finance. I also serve on the Western District Housing Committee.

I was Chairman of Commissioners in 2003-4 and 2007-8. I am employed by Money Express (Isle of Man) Limited as manager and we deal in cheque cashing and foreign exchange.

I am secretary of the Viking Longboat Committee and have served in that role for ten years. Having retired as secretary at the end of October I intend still to take a keen interest in the boat races, which are a great event for Peel, attracting a large crowd of both rowers and spectators to Peel for this annual event.
