Peel has 357 local authority dwellings. Peel Commissioners carry out allocation and supervision of tenancies, collection of rents, care and maintenance of housing stock, consideration of plans submitted under the planning legislation, and administration of regulations regarding flats.

Housing applicants are required to submit an application form which is means tested and also has a residential qualification of 10 years on the Island and 3 years in the district i.e. within Peel.
