Peel Town Commissioners’ Bonfire and Firework display scheduled for tomorrow (25th October) is postponed because high winds and heavy rain is forecasted in the evening. The bonfire will now be lit on the town beach this Monday (28th October) at 7pm with the firework display scheduled to commence at 7:30pm.
This event must be held as early as possible in October to ensure the outer breakwater is clear to permit the berthing of fishing boats for the start of the scallop fishing season on 1 November.
