A public display of plans illustrating how the Department of Infrastructure proposes to refurbish and improve Peel’s main shopping area will take place in Peel on Thursday.

The plans covering Michael Street and Atholl Place are designed to create a better environment for pedestrians while promoting the local economy by encouraging people to spend more time in the town centre.

The display will take place at Peel Town Hall between 10am and 6pm on Thursday 25 June, with officers in attendance to discuss the proposals between 2pm and 6pm.

Peel Town Commissioners are scheduled to consider the planning application for the Department’s redevelopment of Michael Street and Atholl Place at their June Board meeting which will be held at 7pm on Thursday 25 June at the Town Hall. Any comments concerning this development proposal can be sent to the Town Clerk prior to this meeting.
